Artists, Donate Your Work to a silent Auction benefitting the Alzheimer's Association and celebrating the opening of the Aroha Memory Care Center. _____ The organizers of the opening reception of the Aroha Memory Care Center have asked if any of us would be willing to donate any of our works to a silent auction during the reception. Come to the opening on Friday September 20th, 3-6 pm, at 6575 Oakmont Drive and help raise money for the Alzheimer's Association by donating one or two art works. This is a worthy organization while the Memory Care Center is a new concept for senior wellness in Sonoma County, a service new to Oakmont and a future benefit to the community. Come to the opening reception, enjoy the food and wine and music, and talk to potential bidders for your works if you like. To donate works and for more information, contact Dr. Rajesh Kalra MD at rajkalramd@gmail.com Send him a small jpg of your donated work and suggest an opening bid price. That's the vision for MD Senior Wellness, a 27-bed community that is currently under development. The community's founder, Dr. Rajesh Kalra, is a physician who has worked at Kaiser Permanente, where he was formerly the director of pain medicine. He described the concept of the Aroha Memory Care Facility as "wellness-based lifestyle medicine." "I am board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, lifestyle medicine and obesity medicine," Dr. Kalra told Senior Housing News. MD Senior Wellness will offer residents an "elevated concept of good nutrition" by advocating for a healthy diet, helping residents sleep seven to eight hours a night, and aiding them in forging social connections. Joining Kalra in the business is his wife Nisha, a dentist who will practice oral care with residents to help fill "a gap in what's being provided for seniors," he said. {{FASO_DOMAIN_VISIBLE}} {{AM_COMPANY_NAME}} {{AM_COMPANY_ADDRESS}} {{AM_CSZ}} {{AM_COUNTRY}} Unsubscribe Sent with ArtfulMail
