In this presentation, former Emergency Department physician, turned art lecturer, Charlie Goldberg, will show us how health care professionals have been depicted throughout the ages. We'll see sometimes comical, sometimes moving images of the health care system going back from the present to thousands of years ago. Most of all, we'll get a chance to look at great art together. We will continue with our monthly Art Share meetings in the Art room at the Central Activities Center on September 16th, (the third Monday of the month) at 1 pm. Lastly, Gail Mardfin has posted a schedule of her classes in the fall. See below also! _____ Art Share Meeting Our meeting in August stirred a lot of interest with 24 members attending. Bring your work to share with your colleagues, share your experiences of the last month, and join in our tutorial by Larry Cannon on how to improve your compositions and how to look at an art work and its compositional highlights and pitfalls. We will begin the meeting with sharing our works and discussion, along the lines of the questions below. - What do you think was the main idea that the artist was trying to express to the viewer? - What do you think of the painting's composition? - What other techniques do you think the artist used to create the painting? _____ _____ Gail Mardfin has a new series of classes starting.
