Biography Christian Quintin
I was born in the town of Saint Brieuc, on the northern coast of Brittany, France. I studied at the Beaux Arts Academy in Paris
before moving to San Francisco in 1981. I create oils and pastel paintings as well as pen and ink and graphite drawings,
alternating between mediums; as in music each piece calls for its own instrument. My art addresses consciousness, what I see
or feel, and has been exhibited in many solo and international group shows. I was represented by the famed Vorpal Gallery in
San Francisco and New York, which gave its first U.S. show to M.C. Escher. I was also the recipient of numerous public
commissions and was represented by the Lorin Gallery in Los Angeles and Paris.
